Hanasaku Iroha reviewed
Japan has a long tradition of hotel dramas where the grandmother is antagonist and disfunctional family. It’s become a formula in live-action but rarely anime. Hanasaku Iroha is no exception … except it’s told through the eyes of rejected teenager who’s mother left the Inn years before.

Blue Exorcist reviewed
As one member put it, “If Good Omens were to be made into an anime…” Wonderfully animated and well paced story. Blue Exorcist is destined to be up there with the likes of Bleach or D.Grayman.
Tiger & Bunny reviewed
What might be the most refreshing take on the Superhero genre with wonderfully CG animation and more realistic clutzy superheros with everyday problems. This show takes ‘Mystery Men‘ the NEXT step. I recommend watching for Tiger & Bunny.
First blood for the new Spring season is a subdued show of Everyday Life from not so everyday character like talking cat or robot school girl. An anime in the vein of Seinfield. See what other’s thought of Nichijou in our review wiki.
With the crisis in Japan, it’s shaping up to be the season that never ended. Several shows are not being shown or preempted by the continuing news of the disaster. Word that Puella Magi Modako Magica last two episodes are postponed until late April. Other shows have faced simular delays.
It’s a question if the upcoming Spring season will happen as scheduled. We can only hope and pray things in Japan become more stable. Not for anime sake, but for those fans in Japan and the studios trying to cope with rotating blackouts.
Needless to say, please give what you can to help in this time.
We watched this show which was truly a ‘family’ film or is it a film about a family. The Miyazaki effect shows in the high quality to story and production. Destine to be one of the top animated films of all time. See what our members thought of Summer Wars.
Dragon Crisis! reviewed
We tried out some new hardware to watch shows which glitch a bit. In spite of this, we had a good time with a member’s Atari 2600 console and crowd favorite game, Medival Mayhem. We watched Dragon Crisis. While it’s a good show, most thought you have to watch more to get an idea of what’s going on.
We ran a little too late to play Phantasy Star on the Gamecube but maybe next time.
We ended up watching his techno take on Queen’s Blade. Less smut more gory life like combat. But the characters can regenerate. Surprising most of the group including one girl would watch more of Freezing. See what the buzz is about and read what our club members thought.
Kore wa Zombie Desuka? reviewed
How can a show that is SO wrong be this funny? With 6 new members who have joined right out of the blue, a new hit is born out of taking some many anime cliche in definitely the wrong direction. See what they thought of Kore wa Zombie Desuka? today.
My favorite light novel series becomes an anime.
